InspectBook NicheFinder Privacy Notice

NicheFinder is a lightweight research tool installed under /nichefinder. It estimates book niche opportunity signals and can save local reports on this hosting account.

What this tool stores

• Niche keywords entered into the scanner.
• Generated niche scores, book ideas, report summaries and book plans.
• Saved report history in data/scans.json and public preset phrases in data/keyword-packs.json, when history saving is enabled.

Scan limits and abuse protection

IB-NF-012 can apply a daily scan limit per visitor. For this purpose, the visitor IP is converted into a one-way hash before being stored in data/rate-limits.json. Old rate-limit entries are not kept beyond the current day by the built-in limiter.

External sources

The default mode is local estimation only. Google Books metadata is optional and only used when enabled. Amazon scraping is not enabled in this version.

Admin controls

The Admin Settings Panel can control public scanning, history saving, scan limits and privacy notice visibility. Saving changes requires an admin PIN configured in _private/config.local.php.
